KURA chillies are mainly grown in the Rwamagana district of eastern Rwanda, known for its rich and fertile soil. Our outgrowers are hardworking women who possess a deep understanding of their land and are attuned to their region’s climatic conditions and seasonal changes. This innate knowledge, coupled with ecologically sound farming practices, results in some of the best chilli harvests in Rwanda.

KURA provides support and agricultural inputs to partner farmers, thereby maintaining control over the entire food value chain, and guaranteeing quality in terms of Global GAP and ISO 22000 compliance, soil preparation, hybrid seed selection, pest management, the use of fertilizers, overall production and post-harvest activities. As a result, KURA outgrowers have a competitive advantage due to the consistency in product quality and food safety, attracting both local and international buyers.
